Heehee... yes, I like reading "Uncle John's Bathroom Reader"... it's full of strange facts and funny stories. This was my source of knowledge during our long break... think of it what you will. Anyway, I was reading last night and I came across this little "list"
- If the doctor always says to take two aspirins, why don't we just double their size?
- Why doesn't "Buick" rhyme with "Quick"?
- Is there ever a day when mattresses are not on sale?
- Doesn't "expecting the unexpected" make the unexpected expected?
- Do bees get wax in their ears?
- Why do mirrors reflect backwards, but not upside down?
- If Wal-Mart keeps lowering its prices everyday, how come nothing in the store is free?
- Why is it that no matter what color of bubble bath you use, the bubbles are always white?
- Why does it take so little time for a child who is afraid of the dark to become a teenager who wants to stay out all night?
- How can traffic come to a standstill? Shouldn't it be a sitstill?
- Why do you start slowing down immediately when the sign says "Speed Zone Ahead"?
- How much faster would lightning travel if it didn't zigzag?
- How do you write zero in Roman numerals?
- Why do drugstores make sick people walk to the back to get their prescriptions, while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front?
- Why isn't "palindrome" spelled "palindromeemordnilap"?
- How come you have to go to the "Start" menu to shut down your computer?
- When the stars are out, you can see them; when the lights are out, you can't. Why?
- Can you be a closet claustrophobic?
- Why is it that one match can start a forest fire, but it takes a whole box to light a barbecue?
- If swimming is such great exercise, how come wales are fat?
- Why "milkshake"? shouldn't it be called a "milkshook"?
- Why is it that most nudists are people you would never want to see naked?
And this isn't part of the list but it was at the bottom of the page... I thought I should just write it down

I went to work yesterday... it was fine when I got there at around 3:00 but then at around 5:00 or so, I wasn't feeling cheerful at all for some reason. I mean, I used to get bad headaches before and I started getting them... maybe this time I really need to get new glasses and soon. Or maybe it was just the stress of school starting tomorrow. I'm not ready at all, and on top of that. My french class starts at 8:30 and ends at 9:20--which is early because I have to take the bus at 7:21 And then my music class starts at 9:30. So I have 10 minutes to go from one side of campus to the other... I'm trying to change it but I don't think I can. I'll just have to walk quick then.
So anyway, I was in the break room complaining to my friends I was starting to get a headache and I wanted to leave, well, it got better during the day. Sarah came by to Wal-Mart because her mom had to buy blinds so we just hung out for about half an hour because it was my lunch break. I was so forgetful yesterday though. I forgot to get people their change, I forgot to ring up coupons, I also forgot my locker combination for a while, I forgot to clock out for lunch--but then I did that five minutes later. I forgot to clock back in... someone had to remind me. It was not a good day yesterday.
I love my titles... Anyway, I thought I'd share about my day today. Anything to keep my mind off of work.
I just spent the day with my friends starting at around 10:30. We went to the mall because my desire to go into Wal-Mart to shop and hang out has kind of diminished after I started working there. I don't know, I guess I just don't want to buy clothes or act a complete fool and run into someone I know... oh and don't mention undergarments. I buy those at Target now. It would be too embarrassing.
Anyway, it was fun today. We went to the mall and hung out. First we stayed in the car and exchanged gifts. One of my friends--Kristen--got a Wiggles DVD...because she likes The Wiggles. She also got a picture frame with a picture of her and my other friend. She also got a book, I don't remember what it was called though. I got her Il Divo's second CD Ancora because she absolutely loves Il Divo and Josh Groban... but she has all the Josh Groban CDs. And I got her some lotion and body wash in cinnamon because she loves that type of stuff. From her, I got the new Alicia Keys CD... As I Am. I like it, it's pretty much laid back and definitely different from the first one.
For my other friend--Sarah--I got her the new Sherlock Holmes game "The Awakening" because she played the demo and loved it. I also got her a Frank Sinatra CD. My brother doesn't understand why I got her a Sherlock Holmes game... it's not that hard to understand really... she just likes mysteries. From Kristen she got a stuffed penguin... it's kind of a joke we'd all get. So anyway, Sarah got me the fifth series in the new Nancy Drew books and she also got me an Agatha Christie book "4:50 From Paddington" I haven't read that one yet, I started reading the Nancy Drew book first and I'm already anticipating what happens next. Yeah, we both like mysteries.
So after that, we went to a few stores to try on clothes. I bought some khaki pants for work. We ate at Chick-Fil-A and ended up sharing food because we all wanted to try the different sauces. We then went to Aeropostale (or aerospotle as my friend says). At first we were just gonna look at clothes and then go to Gadzooks but I found a nice hoodie that had 1987 on it. I was compelled to buy something with the year I was born on it, so I bought it and then we left.
Yeah, it was a pretty good day, filled with fun and laughter! haha. But now I have to go to work...that makes me sad
